For as long as I can remember, I’ve always felt like someone should create a brand around fathers taking their daughters fishing.
Not because of merchandise.
Not because of social media.
But because of what it meant to me growing up.
The memories I made beside the water with my father stayed with me long after childhood passed. The fishing trips, the quiet moments, the feeling of being included in something he loved, all of it became part of who I am today.
Over the years, I mentioned the idea countless times.
“Someone should create this.”
“Someone should start a movement around this.”
“Someone should remind fathers to take their daughters fishing.”
And after hearing me say it for nearly two decades, my husband Scott finally asked me a simple question:
“Why does that have to be someone else?”
The truth was, this movement was already part of my story.
I was the daughter.
My father taking me fishing directly inspired it.
I was passionate about it because I lived it.
